International Catholic Awareness Day

On Saturday we went to Mission San Luis Rey de Francia. It was an event put on by the Santa Margarita District (BSA). The International Catholic Awareness Award can be earned by Scouts and Scouters.
The grounds of this Mission are beautiful. The activities were far enough apart so everyone had room to learn without walking on top of one another. We learned/taught about the varying types of religious art, about the patron Saint of Scouting, did a service project, made Rosaries and learned about Catholic Scouting internationally.
It was a really beautiful experience. We have just come back to the Church, so it helped boost us up a bit. It gave our children a bit of knowledge on the Church. The kids were excited to go into the Mission and get their Rosaries blessed.
 It was an amazing morning.

Happy Scouting,
Momma
